The suspension flowing tangentially into the headpiece is subject to high centrifugal acceleration in the cone slingshot operating according to the hydrocyclone principle. Under their influence, the impurities are thrown onto the wall of the separation cone, from where they sink into the reject lock via the intermediate tube.
The cleaned suspension is discharged in the axial direction on the headpiece of the sand separator.
The sinking process can be controlled via two sight glasses in the reject lock.
By supplying backwashing water into the reject lock, the heavy dirt is freed from adhering fiber particles.
Adjustable clock sequences of the sliders on the reject lock ensure high adaptability to the respective degree of contamination of the suspension
